Kainai (Blood) Dog Warriors Society lay members bonnet of owl feathers with feathered trailer. Made by me in 2021.

Handmade from braintan elk hide and natural owl feathers (Strix uralensis and Bubo bubo).

In the rear portion of the bonnet there is a removable trailer with alternating sections of blue and red trade cloth, and 4 horizontal rows of real eagle tail feathers.

The bonnet is given an overall aged appearance to look old. The overall finish and attention to details renders this bonnet a completely believable replica and looks very good to me. I finished it after more than several years in preparation and feathers gathering.
