My next match-up discovery is of a Prairie stye single trailer war bonnet, which probably once belonged to a Ponca man Little Soldier (born around 1855 in the Indian Territory that would become Oklahoma) when he was a member of the 1906 Sothern Ponca delegation to Washington. It features a singe trail of eagle feathers that hung down the wearer’s back, attached to a red wool cap with a colorful beaded brow band. Silk ribbons and copper bells adorn the war bonnet.
