Split, beveled and polished buffalo horns painted red on the reverse, decorated with orange dyed horse hair, ermine fringe, hawkbells and wrapped seed beadwork over buckskin at tips, are attached to brain tanned buckskin cap.

The braintaned elk hide cap is covered with ermine fringes and has 24 ermine tubes hanging from the back over a red wool white selvedge edge trade cloth trailer.

Brow band is beaded with old Italian seed beads (stepped triagles of "White Center Rose", "Dark Clear Blue" and "Greasy Yellow" on the "Light Blue" background). From the tip of each horn, a buckskin thong wrapped with dyed porcupine quillwork attaches to the center of the cap.

Overall aged appearance.
